Description
Bright with a light straw colour. Quite perfumed with the ripe melon fruit aromas that are characteristic of Chardonnay. There’s also a distinctive butterscotch/ honeycomb character that’s come from the malolacticfermentation, adding complexity to the nose. This is a well textured and well flavoured Chardonnay. After 5 months in barrel post fermentation, the rich, ripe melon fruit flavours are well integrated with the butterscotch characters. It is a full, ripe, complex style with the French oak that’s been used influencing the flavour and also the structure; the wine finishes with a touch of firmness, adding length to the palate.
